Focus Groups on Massachusetts Lawyer Health & Well-Being: Register Now to Participate

Limited spots are available in focus groups for an upcoming Massachusetts lawyer well-being needs assessment organized by the SJC Lawyer Well-Being Committee.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Lawyer Well-Being (Standing Committee) has engaged a Massachusetts-based team from NORC at the University of Chicago (NORC), an independent research institution, a to conduct a needs assessment on lawyer well-being in Massachusetts. In March 2021, NORC will be conducting focus groups to inform our needs assessment. The focus groups will discuss the following topics: how participants prioritize and manage aspects of well-being, and barriers and facilitators to achieving well-being in your professional careers. We will also discuss participants’ recommendations for workplace and policy reforms to mitigate some of the barriers identified.

Focus groups will take 60 to 90 minutes and be conducted virtually using Zoom. Participants’ names and other identifiers will not be shared in any public-facing reports, or with the Standing Committee, or any other members of the Massachusetts bar, and will only be available to the NORC research team for purposes of this needs assessment.

If you are interested in sharing your opinions on these topics, please sign up to participate by completing this Focus Group Interest Form.
