Grace Rountree, Programs & Operations Assistant, LCL MA

Grace joined LCL in 2023. As Programs & Operations Assistant, Grace maintains and assesses data in alignment with strategic plans and assists with operationalizing data collection across programs. She is also excited about easing technology transitions and implementing technical solutions to better facilitate internal operations.

Prior to joining LCL, Grace worked as a paralegal at a small immigration law firm, where they managed many competing deadlines across various teams and tackled some of the most complex immigration case types with passion and efficiency. Grace graduated from Smith College with a BA in U.S. and Latin American History. Grace also has a background in community organizing and advocacy with an emphasis on migrant justice and disability justice. With the ACLU Massachusetts Immigrant Protection Project, she had the opportunity to coordinate a team of pro bono attorneys and volunteers as part of an effort to secure release for asylum seekers detained at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Grace’s professional background as an immigration paralegal and her personal experience being raised by two criminal defense attorneys informs her deep commitment to LCL’s mission. In their free time, Grace loves making visual art, engaging in community organizing, and spending time in their garden.
