Opening Remarks by Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts Kimberly S. Budd

Kimberly Budd is the 38th Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court and was appointed as an Associate Justice on the Court in August 2016. She was appointed as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court in 2009 and served as Regional Administrative Justice for Middlesex Criminal Business before her appointment to the Supreme Judicial Court. Attorney Deutsch, founder of Northeast Law Group LLC, a consumer rights law firm, has been practicing law for more than a decade. He received his JD from Seton Hall University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. Attorney Deutsch will speak about his personal experience working with Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers including working with LCL’s clinicians, law office practice advisors, and the addiction recovery peer support meetings. He will also share his journey to recovery as a lawyer.
