Mary F. Connelly, Esq.
Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts since 1985, Mary has been on LCL’s Board of Directors since September 2020. She is a cum laude graduate of Merrimack College and received her JD from Boston University School of Law.
Since May 2019, Attorney Connelly has served as Classification and Compensation Lead at the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. In this role, she is responsible for supporting and facilitating collaborative problem-solving and decision-making, communication, and consistency within and across the Executive Office of Health and Human Resources’ agencies relating to position classification and compensation matters. Before taking on this position, Attorney Connelly served eight years as the Diversity Director, ADA Coordinator and HR Liaison, at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, seven years as a Diversity Officer at the Executive Office of Health and Human Resources and four and a half years as the Assistant Civil Rights Administrator at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Before that DEIA work, Attorney Connelly was a staff attorney for nine years at the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute.
Attorney Connelly possesses additional training and certifications in responding to requests for reasonable accommodation and discrimination prevention.
She received a Gubernatorial appointment by former Governor Michael Dukakis to the Architectural Access Board, which is charged with enforcing M.G.L.A. Chapter 22, §13a by ensuring that “public buildings [are] accessible to, functional for and safe for use by physically handicapped persons.” She was a member and former president of the Health Care for All Board of Directors from 1990 to 2018. Boston University School of Law recognized Attorney Connolly for her public service in 2018.
