Watch this powerful and candid conversation with four highly accomplished attorneys who are living in recovery from alcohol misuse. This program continues our Stomp Out Stigma campaign, launched in September 2025 to reduce shame and misconceptions around substance use disorders in the legal profession.

In this discussion, our panelists will share their personal journeys to recovery and reflect on the aspects of legal culture that made seeking help uniquely challenging. These challenges include the pressure to appear invulnerable, the fear of professional repercussions, and the stigma that often silences those who are struggling. Our panelists will also speak openly about the fears and obstacles they faced when deciding to reach out for support, and what ultimately helped them move forward.

The holiday season is approaching — a time that can bring heightened stress, increased events with social drinking, and feelings of isolation. Our panelists will discuss how this time of year affects their recovery and the strategies they use to maintain well-being.

This session aims to normalize help-seeking, dismantle stigma, and foster a legal culture where attorneys can prioritize their health without fear.

Attendees will gain insight, hope, and practical guidance on supporting themselves, colleagues, and the broader legal community.
